Ladycraft Building & Joinery Services

Ladycraft Building & Joinery Services has developed from a strong carpentry and joinery background into a broad Durham building service. The business was established in 1991 by Vanessa Tyers, a trained carpenter and joiner, and its early bespoke-furniture work still shows in the current offer alongside extensions, conversions and room renovations.

Today the company undertakes home extensions, kitchens, bathrooms, loft and garage conversions, brick and stone work, roofing, tiling and plastering. Bespoke furniture remains part of the service, giving Ladycraft an interesting overlap between made-to-fit joinery and larger structural home improvement.

The business works in Durham and the surrounding North East area. Its long local history and trade origins give it a different character from a general builder assembled around subcontracted services: joinery remains visible in the work, while the broader building team can carry a project through structural changes, fitted interiors and finishing stages.
